Senior Government Relations Director

• Develops and implements strategies to advocate enterprise and state specific legislative and regulatory positions
• Directing and overseeing the resolution of complex political issues
• Responsible for enterprise business development and retention
• Monitoring market databases and product review to analyze opportunities
• Represents the enterprise in advocacy efforts
• Establishes and maintains relationships with legislators and regulators
• Makes written and oral presentations on behalf of the company
• Manages budgets and contracted lobbying staff
• Serves as a leader in trade associations to influence positions

• Requires a BA/BS in a related field
• 10 years of legislative, regulatory, political, public affairs or industry experience
• MS preferred
• Prior client facing experience preferred
• Healthcare policy experience preferred
• Medicaid experience strongly preferred
• Experience writing formal communications for executive-level audiences preferred
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail skills preferred
• Concise, precise, and motivating verbal and written communication skills demonstrated through ability to influence and persuade preferred

Demonstrates expertise in legislative and regulatory advocacy, with a strong focus on healthcare policy and Medicaid. Proven ability to develop strategies, manage relationships with legislators, and deliver impactful communications to executive-level audiences.
