Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Tactical Communications Unit (TCU), the incumbent supports statewide tactical communications planning, operations, and evaluation during routine and emergency conditions. The position manages assigned tactical communications projects, ensures Cal OES communication systems are operational, and performs emergency response activities as directed. The TCU coordinates statewide interoperability efforts, supports emergency communications response and recovery, develops required regulatory and planning guidance, and provides technical assistance to Cal OES branches, regions, and partner agencies.

Working Conditions

Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in office days may be required based on the business need.

DMV Pull Program: Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver’s License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
