Limited Term appointment for 12 months, may be extended to 24 months, and may become permanent at a later date, pending Budget approval.

Under direction of the Codes and Standards Administrator and Code Enforcement Manager, the Code Enforcement District Representative I (DR-I), conducts inspections and investigations as specified in the Employee Housing Act, Mobile home Park Act, Special Occupancy Park Act, and Manufactured Housing Act. The DR-I is assigned the most sensitive and complex field inspections and investigations. The incumbent is expected to schedule and conduct inspections and investigations relating to the enforcement of State and Federal laws and regulations for assignments within a geographical area.

This role is for people who work in a specific area. If you live more than 50 miles from the job's location, you can still apply, but you must move within 50 miles of the area before being hired and stay there while employed. If you don’t meet this requirement, you may lose the job offer.
