In this impactful role, you’ll provide vital support to the public by guiding applicants through programs like SNAP and Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (SEBT), ensuring individuals and families receive the benefits they need. Working in a dynamic environment, you’ll apply your knowledge of agency programs and policies to make accurate eligibility decisions, protect program integrity, and ensure benefits are issued correctly.

Failure to include this information may result in the application being deemed ineligible for further consideration.

• Five years of economic stability social services experience; OR
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of economic stability social services experience; OR
• A bachelor's degree plus two years of economic stability social services experience; OR
• An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus one year of economic stability social services experience.

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

• Incumbent is responsible for problem solving, triage, and SEBT card issues.
• Identifies problem areas and recommends corrective action to avoid federal fiscal sanctions, inequality of service and inaccurate benefit determinations.
• Develops and recommends revisions to forms, procedures and policies to reduce workload, minimize errors and maximize service delivery to clients.
• Researches and analyzes program policy to determine the impact on staff, programs, clients and contracted providers. Incumbent recommends policy and procedural changes which comply with Federal and State mandates as identified by problems or as indicated to reduce workload or errors.
• Organizes, develops, and participates in special projects, reports and work groups to improve productivity, minimize errors and reduce workload as requested by the Economic Stability Director, SNAP Director, and Economic Stability (ES) Manager
  1. Also participates in the development of new or revised policies and procedures resulting from legislation or agency initiatives.
• Complete testing for Economic Stability systems and assist in creating communication and training documents for ES field staff.

• Communicates with vendors, school administrators, database personnel and customers. Identifies training needs based on findings and provides recommendations to ES Manager 1.
