Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Police Officer role based in Jonesburg, MO. The Police Officer will perform routine patrols, respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, and enforce local, state, and federal laws. Responsibilities include conducting traffic stops, issuing citations, preparing incident and arrest reports, and providing support during community events. The role also involves assisting with preliminary criminal investigations, securing and documenting evidence, and collaborating with other officers and agencies.

Officers are expected to maintain high standards of conduct, uphold department policies, and engage positively with community members.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of law enforcement principles and practices, including Law Enforcement and Police procedures.
  • Experience or training related to Police Officers’ duties, such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and community policing.
  • Ability to handle and document Evidence in accordance with legal and departmental standards.
  • Foundational understanding of Criminal Investigations, including interviewing, report writing, and case documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in criminal justice or related field is beneficial.
  • Completion of state-approved police academy or eligibility for POST certification, as required by Missouri regulations.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to meet physical fitness standards, operate departmental equipment, and work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to pass background check and other pre-employment screenings.
