Manager, Operations Maintenance

Location: California

* Supervise and mentor a team of Manufacturing Technicians and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
* Ensure all staff receive proper training and are equipped to perform maintenance duties safely and effectively.
* Provide regular feedback, recognition, and performance coaching to promote engagement and development.
* Support continuous learning and technical skill advancement within the maintenance organization.
* Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and company policies.
* Conduct routine safety audits, equipment inspections, and incident reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
* Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns, training, and team participation in safety improvement activities.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturing environments, including documentation and reporting protocols.

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
* 10+ years of related operations maintenance experience and minimum of 3 years of management experience with direct reports.  Experience in the medical device or regulated industry prefer.
* Proven success in managing modern maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS tools).
* Deep understanding of medical device manufacturing processes, quality systems (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820), and Lean methodologies.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
* Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and excellence.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
