Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (8-hour day shift; start time flexible between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

- Assess and evaluate patients with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that drive measurable progress
- Monitor patient progress closely and adjust interventions to ensure the best outcomes
- Document assessments, treatment minutes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR per regulatory standards
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers to support continuity of care
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and remove barriers
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and required in-services and trainings
- Supervise and mentor CFY and student SLPs, supporting their clinical growth
- Active ASHA CCC-SLP required
- Missouri state license required (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience required; new grads considered if they have Level II experience (not just Level I observation)
- LTC or Rehab experience required
- Experience with standardized assessments, dysphagia management, and treatment planning
- Proven ability to document thoroughly in EMR and accurately record treatment minutes
- Comfort supervising CFY/SLP students and participating in facility care conferences
- Ability to obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for ASHA CCC-SLP)
- Patient assessment and outcome evaluation skills
- Dysphagia management and safe-swallowing strategies
- Strong clinical documentation and discharge summary preparation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and productivity expectations
- Experience with evidence-based practice and treatment planning
- Good interdisciplinary communication and participation in care conferences
- Understanding of Medicare A/B and managed care considerations (helpful)
- Ability to run group therapy sessions and manage scheduling/productivity
