Student Staff Radiologic Tech
Lake Regional Health System is looking for a dedicated student Staff Rad Tech to deliver high-quality service, a professional approach & appearance and promotes customer satisfaction by providing courteous, confidential, proficient practices and prompt response as a fully contributing member of the patient care team. Key Responsibilities- Performs all requested ultrasound examinations as ordered by the attending physician
- Prepares preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required
- Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided
- Address patient problems as they arise & make decisions to appropriately resolve the issue
- Organizes daily work schedules and performs related clerical duties as required
- Assume responsibility for the safety and well‑being of all patients in the ultrasound area
- Report equipment failure to the appropriate individual
- Provide in‑service education on requirements of ultrasound procedures as requested by other members of the health care team
- Must be familiar with basic abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular pathologies in order to recognize and identify abnormalities
- Explain procedures to patients
- Help care for and maintain equipment
- Graduated from an Accredited Ultrasound program
- Active certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) strongly preferred
- RDMS and RVT strongly preferred
- Currently compliant with required continuing education
- Full‑Time, Varied Shifts with Varied Hours
- Annual influenza vaccine and COVID vaccine required.
