Parent-Child Therapy Clinic, Inc. (PCTC) is seeking motivated, BBS-registered Associate Therapists with a passion for working with children and families to join our growing team in Ventura, California.
We specialize in evidence-based treatments, with a strong emphasis on Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and early childhood mental health.
About the Role- Provide therapy services to children and caregivers using evidence-based approaches, including PCIT
- Work in fully furnished, clinic-based PCIT rooms designed to support high-quality care
- Opportunity to receive PCIT training and certification under a dually certified PCIT Trainer
- This is an office-based position (not remote)
- Hourly, non-exempt status
- Quickly filled caseloads with steady referrals — no need to source your own clients
- Weekly paid clinical supervision by licensed supervisors
- Includes LCSW supervision for ASWs
- $300 annually toward CEUs and professional conferences
- Separate paid time off and paid sick leave
- Dental and vision insurance (medical benefits not provided)
- Group professional liability insurance is covered by the clinic
- No billing or collections responsibilities — the clinic handles all administrative billing tasks
- Flexible scheduling within the clinic needs
- A supportive, collaborative team culture that values learning, professionalism, and mutual support
- $50/hour for direct clinical services
- $22/hour for administrative tasks
- Raises are considered after 6 months, based on performance and clinic needs
- Provide individual, dyadic, and family psychotherapy services to children and their caregivers in an outpatient setting
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnostic evaluation and formulation, and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with DSM-5-TR guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including supervisors, clinicians, schools, and other community providers, to ensure coordinated and high-quality care
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation for all services rendered
- Participate in required clinical supervision, trainings, workshops, and staff meetings to support professional growth and licensure progress
- Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and collaborative team culture aligned with clinic values and best clinical practices
- Bring curiosity, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset to clinical and team work
- Active BBS Associate registration in California (AMFT, ASW, or APCC) is required
- Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Commitment to practicing in accordance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and professional regulations
- Prior experience working with children and families in clinical or therapeutic settings strongly preferred
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish/English) preferred
- Openness to learning and developing proficiency in diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
- Ability and willingness to work on-site at the Ventura office
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team
- Receptiveness to feedback and interest in ongoing clinical learning and supervision
- Interest in evidence-based practices and early childhood mental health
$22 hourly admin - $50 hourly clinical

Our clinicians receive strong training in DSM diagnosis and the use of assessment measures to diagnose and guide treatment. Our therapists also have the opportunity to be trained in EBTs like CBT, PCIT, PC-CARE, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. Our therapists also receive telehealth training for virtual therapy.
