About the RoleAs a field‑based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Lipid Metabolism, you will drive national medical activities in alignment with regional strategies and the Global Medical Plan. You will engage scientific and clinical stakeholders, shape medical education, and create value for patients through evidence‑based scientific exchange, medical projects, and community engagement initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional colleagues across medical, commercial, patient access, regulatory, safety, and community engagement teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a scientific, fast‑moving environment and enjoys building trusted partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Scientific Engagement & Stakeholder Management- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, scientific experts, and other medical stakeholders in lipid metabolism.
- Deliver high‑quality scientific and medical communications aligned with strategic communication plans.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans that meet the highest scientific and ethical standards.
- Represent the company at national and international congresses, symposia, and scientific meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with scientific societies and central decision‑makers.
- Support the country brand team with medical insights and contribute to regional and global medical planning.
- Provide scientific input for promotional and educational materials.
- Support the organization of scientific advisory boards in collaboration with the Medical Director and cross‑functional partners.
- Contribute to medical aspects of local and regional initiatives, including launch readiness activities.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to internal teams, ensuring high standards of scientific accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate Investigator‑Sponsored Studies (ISS) and support local study activities.
- Manage medical information inquiries in collaboration with Medical Affairs and global teams.
- Provide local insights for business development assessments and competitive intelligence.
- Oversee external vendors supporting real‑world evidence, epidemiology, or patient support initiatives.
- Liaise with patient advocacy groups and lead local community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure medical training for cross‑functional colleagues in the Netherlands.
- Facilitate solutions for unmet medical needs within regulatory and legal frameworks.
- University degree in a medical or life‑science discipline.
- Experience in Medical Affairs, ideally as an MSL or in a similar scientific role.
- Proven experience in Specialty Care and/or lipidology.
- Understanding of healthcare systems, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
- Strong scientific communication skills, including presenting complex data clearly.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build internal and external networks.
- High level of drive, enthusiasm, and scientific curiosity.
