Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Home Care Specialist to serve as a mentor, trainer, and role model for our caregiving team. This position combines direct client care with additional mentoring responsibilities, including training new Home Care Specialists, supporting administrative branch office operations, and providing valuable feedback on processes. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellence in caregiving, strong communication skills, and a passion for developing others.
Key Responsibilities Direct Care & Client Services- Provide high-quality personal care services to clients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Monitor and document client condition and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and families
- Train and mentor new Home Care Specialists during orientation and onboarding
- Conduct shadowing sessions and provide hands‑on skill demonstrations
- Serve as a role model for best practices in client care and professionalism
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members
- Support ongoing skill development and competency assessments
- Assist branch office with caregiver projects
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements
- Provide feedback on orientation and onboarding effectiveness and suggest recommendations for better use cases
- Clearly communicate recommendations and solutions for training, onboarding, orientation and recruiting sourcing
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Home Care Specialist or similar caregiving role
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Clean background check and driving record
- Demonstrated excellence in client care and customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback
- Proficiency with documentation and basic computer skills
- If required, state caregiver certification or demonstrated ability to obtain
- Experience in training or mentoring roles
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Specialty certifications (dementia care, Alzheimer's care, etc.)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Bilingual
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for assisting with personal care tasks
- Ability to work in various home environments
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.50/mile
- Holiday pay at 1.5 × hourly rate for shifts worked on a recognized holiday
