Responsibilities include providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
Essential Functions- Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Administers treatment programs for patients.
- Administers treatments such as manual exercises, instruction and patient education, non-manual exercises, gait activities, and daily-living activities.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, and participating in professional organizations.

Education and Experience
- Associate's degree for Physical Therapy Assistant
- Current PTA licensure in California
- Up to date on continuing education requirements
- 2 years of experience as PTA in outpatient and inpatient settings
- BLS/CPR preferred
