The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)/Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) specializes in using non‑invasive equipment to perform ASE‑guided ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analysis of the heart and related structures in an IAC‑accredited facility to aid in the diagnosis of and treatment of cardiac diseases. Responsible for being well‑versed in defects and diseases of the heart and knowing how to clinically apply echocardiography to detect those diseases/defects;

managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit; promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team; and performing duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonographer Program

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) in the state of Missouri within 6 months of hire
