Eligibility Requirements- Must be a California resident and live within 30–45 minutes of Redway, CA.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident; not open to non‑citizens or visa holders.
- Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA compliance.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a self‑directed, fast‑paced environment.
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM with remote learning and remote intern/externship training. - Stipend: $31,200 distributed over 44 weeks, paid semi‑monthly.
- Benefits:
Monthly reimbursement up to $600 (participant cost only) and an Internet stipend of $35/month. - Attendance:
No paid holidays or PTO; missed time must be made up.
- Apply health care and database management insights to analyze clinical data and create targeted reports.
- Develop expertise in managing health information and EHR systems.
- Use tools such as EPIC, SQL, Tableau, and Crystal Reports for data analysis and reporting.
- Implement system design, testing, and security protocols to maintain data privacy and compliance.
- Prepare for the HIMSS CAHIMS certification exam.
- Support healthcare teams in optimizing workflows and improving patient outcomes through technology.
- Process duplicate/overlay cases using designated reports, queues, and communications.
- Conduct detailed review of issues, log and database documentation.
- Follow procedures for combining cases and managing non‑duplicates.
- Communicate professionally with downstream and external users.
- Validate data integrity across inbound interfaces and Epic subsystems.
- Prepare and monitor distribution of reports.
- Provide troubleshooting support for EPIC and other EHR systems.
- Maintain data integrity through error queue management and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to improve system efficiency.
- Maintain user accounts, workstations, and system configurations.
- Lead system testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Oversee quality, timeliness, and accuracy of medical records and patient indices.
- Secure and protect health information.
- Collect, quality‑control, and disseminate data for comparative databases and statistical reports.
- Organize and maintain patient medical records.
- Respond to information/document requests.
- Update medical records, notify providers of deficiencies, and track outstanding records.
- Protect patient confidentiality in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Update medical histories promptly.
- Process patient forms, histories, and test results.
- Analyze information for accuracy.
- Assess health records and insurance claims.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and regulations.
