The Oncology Data Supervisor is responsible for overseeing cancer data collection, abstraction, and reporting activities to support clinical care, research, and accreditation requirements. This role ensures compliance with national standards and assists with initiatives related to the Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation, quality assurance, and data analysis.

Education: High school diploma.

Experience: 3 years of experience in the Cancer Registry.

Certifications: Current Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) and in good standing.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and data abstraction tools.
• Strong understanding of oncology terminology and clinical workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare data (e.g., HIPAA).
• Knowledge of oncology diseases and processes.
• Knowledge of American College of Surgeons requirements for cancer program accreditation.
