Registered Dietitian - CA

The primary function of this position is to use clinical skills and background to support the assigned sales office in achieving the objectives of the Enteral Nutrition Support Program. This position works in conjunction with the Corporate Registered Dietitian to achieve the overall company goals and objectives.

This position will be based out of our Ontario Sales office, but will cover the Inland Empire area.

• Provide clinical support to nutritional assessments of potential and current customers
• Complete patient assessments on tube fed patients after discharge
• Complete pump fed patient set-ups in the home or hospital
• Understand and apply appropriate interview diet history techniques
• Communicate with Physician or Referral Source on customer dietary needs
• Maintain on-call schedule for enteral tube fed patients
• Follow up with new tube fed patients as assigned
• Provide information to customers and referral sources pertaining to healthy nutrition
• Ensure all clinical documentation is obtained and reviewed
• Work in conjunction with Sales and Marketing team to increase the number of tube fed patients on company service
• Provide company in-services to target referral sources
• Perform sales support activities in specified region and document sales support activities in Sales Force
• Assist Marketing in developing clinically sufficient enteral product formularies
• Using clinical nutritional expertise, recommend formulary product selection and implementation where medically appropriate
• Recommend, develop, test and implement nutrition education tools to be used in the field
• Complete all required customer data analysis or initial intake
• Schedule and provide follow up nutrition educational contacts with high-risk clients
• Work on outreach efforts to increase community knowledge of company Enteral program
• Participate in Health Fairs and other community events
• Participate in regional professional organizations to support company marketing effort and increase regional presence
• Work in coordination with Sales & Marketing to increase enteral sales and service quality
• Provide regular feedback to Corporate Dietitian on Enteral Nutrition Program. Perform as a back-up to this position if needed
• Various tasks as assigned by management

• Registered Dietitian with current licensure
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a registered dietitian
• Experience with the Inland Empire Hospital systems preferred
• Ability to travel
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers, referral sources, vendors, and company personnel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Home Health business including referral sources and reimbursement preferred, but not required
• Computer Literate
