The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on‑going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Shift: Days, 7a‑7p
Hours: 36 hours/week
Education: High school diploma, G.E.D. and/or current Mercy coworker. Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
Other: Basic computer skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task is essential. Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure is a must.

:
Experience preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Certifications
: CRAT certification preferred.
