Position: PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE II, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
Location: California

Job Summary

Title: Public Health Nurse II – Correctional Facility Location: Sierra Conservation Center, Jamestown, California Type: Permanent, Full Time Pay Range: $10,697.00 – $13,390.00 per month (minimum salary for new to state candidates). # of Positions: 1 Telework: In Office

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate institutional public health and infection control programs at intermediate institutions.
  • Provide technical assistance to institutional staff in implementing infectious disease control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct epidemiological investigations under guidance of the Public Health Branch, CCHCS.
  • Interact with state and local authorities on public health issues.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure delivery of appropriate and timely care and coordinate interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care.
  • Address ongoing health care needs of patients and promote efficient use of health care resources.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse license in California.
  • Current certificate as a Public Health Nurse in California.
  • Experience in public health, infection control, or related healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
