Job Summary
The CT Technologist I provides computed tomography and diagnostic radiography services to patients as ordered by the physician according to established standards and practices. The role serves as a resource to other technologists and may prepare patients for imaging by administering contrast through intravenous or other methods within scope of practice. The technologist must be familiar with Image Gently and ALARA practices to promote low dose, high diagnostic quality exams, provide age‑appropriate care, and maintain high standards of customer service.
CompensationPay Range:
Minimum $37.61, Midpoint $49.84, Maximum $62.06 per hour. Rate of pay is determined by factors such as knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.
- Required: Newly graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program with less than six (6) months clinical experience in CT.
- Preferred: One (1) year of acute‑care technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.
- Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography; or possess equivalent experience/cross‑training.
- Preferred: None.

- Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT‑R);
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Post‑Primary Certification (ARRT‑CT) within nine (9) months of hire or transfer. Basic Life Support (BLS);
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT);
California Fluoroscopy Certification (CRF);
Venipuncture Certificate. - Preferred: None.

Activities:
Lifting 25‑35 lbs; pushing/pulling 50‑100 lbs; bending, reaching, walking, repetitive motion, etc. - Environmental Requirements: Exposure to airborne communicable disease, blood borne pathogens, chemicals, dust, extreme noise, temperatures, radiation, uneven surfaces.
