Willis Knighton is seeking an Ophthalmology Tech to join our team on the south campus. The tech will coordinate and provide care to patients in the physician's office under the direction and supervision of the clinic physician, participate in patient and family teaching, work cooperatively with other health care members and maintain standards for professional growth and development.

• Responsible for operation of all equipment.
• Perform accurate vision screenings.
• Test patient far acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception.
• Test patients' field of vision, including central and peripheral vision for defects.
• Examine eye using slit lamp for abnormalities of cornea and anterior and posterior chambers.
• Provide information to patients/families regarding disease process, diagnostic procedures, and/or surgery.

• Graduate of an accredited high school.
• Actively pursuing ophthalmology technician certification.
• Previous ophthalmology experience or experience in a related field preferred.
• Willing to attend hospital-wide and department-focused orientation upon hire.
