Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Lake Regional Health System is actively seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

• Provide all respiratory treatments and modalities, including all inhaled medications, IPV, BiPAP/CPAP, NIV, IS, Ventilator Management and care, pulse oximetry, Oxygen therapy, Heliox therapy, EKGs, and bedside PFTs.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Participate in shift report - reporting on all patients receiving respiratory therapy services.
• Initiate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilators.
• Educate patients and family members regarding care needed after discharge.
• Provide education to hospital staff relating to respiratory care for patients.
• Ensure optimum quality of care through ongoing education.
• Provide accurate, timely documentation of respiratory care provided to patients.
• Adhere to safety departmental and hospital policy and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

• Certification/Licensure required for job: CRT and RCP, RRT Preferred.
• Must have current BLS, and obtain ACLS and NRP once hired.
