Position Details: Full time – Days, Chesterfield, MO

Assists the physician and office staff with selected duties to include clerical processing, patient preparation, scheduling, lab, x‑ray and medical records. As directed, performs patient care activities consistent with the established standards of clinical practice. The incumbent shall carry out responsibilities and integrate Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues.

Responsibilities- Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, completing thorough medication reconciliation.
- Works Encounter Guide to close care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exam; rechecks elevated blood pressures.
- Completes documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits.
- Assists with any needed in‑office testing: drawing blood, mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies and point‑of‑care testing.
- Administers vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
- Schedules follow‑up appointments as per office policy.
- Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.
Primary Care Assistant – Medical Assistant:
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Certification:
Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. - Preferred Experience:
6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
Primary Care – Certified Medical Assistant:
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Certification:
Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. - Preferred Experience:
6 months clinical healthcare experience.
LPN
Qualifications:
- Education:
Diploma in Practical Nursing. - Licensure:
Active LPN licensure. - Preferred Experience:
6 months clinical healthcare experience.
