School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location:
Turlock, CA
Are you looking to tie down a position for the upcoming school year now? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SLPA to join our team for a school-based position. The candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist to provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language disorders. This position is for the remainder of the school year.
Details:
- Full‑time, 37.5 hours/week guaranteed
- Preschool – 4th Grade Caseload
- ASAP start
- Assist in conducting speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
- Implement treatment plans developed by the licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, language prehension, and munication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for each student
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops to stay informed of the latest therapy techniques and best practices
- Associate's degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology or related field required
- Active California SLPA License required
- Experience working with school‑aged children with speech and language disorders preferred
- Experience with a variety of treatment approaches and modalities, including AAC, PROMPT, and social munication interventions
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
