Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Schedule and input all appointments in the scheduling module in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all pre-procedure/preoperative activities are scheduled or completed.
- Manage patient and center cancellations, and add appointments according to scheduling parameters.
- Print the patient schedule and pull patient charts daily.
- Facilitate the admission process by greeting patients and visitors, obtaining patient identification and insurance information to initiate admissions.
- Assemble files and maintain patient medical and financial records confidentially and securely.
- Complete the front‑end billing process, ensuring all information is entered into the computer registration module.
- Perform insurance verification, and complete prior authorization or other payer-required actions.
- Assist with patient transportation when qualified under the Company Transportation Policy.
- Ensure appropriate signatures are included on all necessary charts and admissions data per policies.
- Accurately scan and file documents within 24 hours of completed visits, including physician reports to referral sources.
- Communicate all procedure and insurance changes identified during patient visits to internal parties and the patient record immediately.
- Perform daily encounter checks to assure reporting accuracy.
- Coordinate the collection, processing, maintenance, storage, retrieval, documentation, and distribution of medical records per policy and procedure.
- Maintain logs of medical record release documentation.
- Provide information for research or study projects involving patient care and utilization, in accordance with policy.
- Oversee materials moving in and out of the office, including inventory shipments and deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent, or associate degree or higher preferred.
Experience and Required Skills1–2 years of related experience preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing; proficiency in computers and related software such as Microsoft Office; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to adapt to supporting software applications.
