Job Summary
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I monitors and records neurodiagnostic patients, checks electrode integrity, and communicates with physicians and nurses regarding patient status changes.
ResponsibilitiesConduct neurodiagnostic testing, monitor patients, and ensure accurate data collection.
Qualifications- Experience —
Required:
None. Preferred:
One year pediatric health care experience. - Education —
Required:
High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent and completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program. Preferred:
Associate degree. - Training —
Required:
None. - Specialized Skills — Ability to effectively communicate pertinent clinical data, set goals and judge results, advance care through new ideas, promote teamwork, and solve complex patient care problems. Preferred:
Bilingual in English/Spanish. - Licensure —
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS). Must be board eligible to take Registered EEG Technologist and obtain the credential within one year of hire.
Requires medium to high energy level, lifting up to 150–200 pounds, climbing, bending, repetitive motion and other physical activities.
