Pay
Base Wage starting at $15.15; increased based on experience

Essential Functions- Schedules patient appointments to ensure good access to care for patients with proper patient/therapist case mix.
- Collects and processes copays and payments for services offered at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
- Registers patients verifying appropriate demographic and insurance information.
- Maintains clean and welcoming reception and waiting area.
- Processes paperwork and clinical documentation in a timely and efficient manner so that communication between physicians and clinic assures safe and effective delivery of care.
- Checks insurance authorization for treatment and communicates benefits to patients and staff.
- Assures and confirms billing accuracy and works with coding/medical records to supply necessary records including copying, scanning, filing.
- Maintains excellent working relationships with business office peers, clinicians and various referral source offices.
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service when working directly with patients, physicians and medical departments.
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
- Works in a fast paced medical office environment.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
- Ability to complete competency for CPR/First Aid.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office competence with Word, Excel, Internet and E-mail.
- Knowledge of operation of phone, copier, fax and printer.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
- Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
- Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR Certification within 6 months of hire and kept current.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must adhere to NRMC appearance and attire policy.
- Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
