OPEN POSITION:
Physical Therapist Part‑Time – Non‑Exempt Employee
We are currently looking for a Physical Therapist to join our Elderberry Healthcare and Physical Therapy team.
Elderberry HPT is a local DPT owned company, looking for a therapist to grow with us and foster community centered elderly wellness in Southern California.
With mobile outpatient therapy, we bring the clinic to the client using a team approach to design personalized care. Must be comfortable driving and providing physical therapy services at the client's home or out in the community. Transitioning into a mobile setting allows patient centered, quality care, to take place where the patient spends most of his/her time. Qualified candidates must have the passion and desire to make a difference in our clients' lives.
Responsibilities- Work directly with patients to implement physical therapy programs that focus on maintaining function and improving QOL
- Help patients and families modify tasks, and use equipment to improve participation with their ADLs
- Advise, consult and, when appropriate, instruct family and other agency personnel in patient’s therapy program
- Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress to physical therapy team
- One‑on‑one patient centered care.
- Record and document patient care services using EMR systems
- Communicate with clients through office phone application to manage schedule and patient care
- Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well‑rounded care through mobile phone/tablet applications
- Must be willing to drive to these areas daily:
Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Long Beach
- New Grads Welcome – mentorship available
- Previous experience preferred but not required in physical therapy rehabilitation, and orthopedics
- Must be comfortable with using phone/tablet applications for inter‑office communication
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Current California PT License
- Reliable Transportation
- Valid California Driver License
- Driver's Record – $2 fee through DMV
- Proof of auto‑insurance
- Social Security Number
- Mal‑Practice liability Insurance
- Physical within 2 years, TB test within 1 year
- Vaccination Proof
- CPR certificate
- Average Yearly Earnings Range $89,856 to $105,456 with opportunity to earn an additional $6,000 a year in bonus pay.
- Compensation broken out into two rates:
- Commission Rate based on Experience (Range: $62.00 - $75.00 per session)
- Hourly Wage: documentation, travel time, meetings, communication, training
- Mileage reimbursement in compliance with standard rate
- Monthly Bonus Program – earn an additional $200.00 – $500.00 a month
- Continuing Education Allowance
- Flexible Schedule – manage your own schedule using our EMR system
- Mobile Starter Kit (Table, balance pad, portable US, therabands, PPE, BP cuff, Pulse Oximeter)
- One hour minimum Evaluation/Treatment appointments
- Focus is quality one‑on‑one care, no aides
- Full Time Employees:
Paid Vacation and Holidays, Healthcare Stipend, Maternity Benefits, Retirement Plan - Full Time in this setting is considered 30 hours a week (25 hours of direct treatment and 5 hours indirect work traveling, documenting, communicating).
