Laboratory Assistant - Per Diem - Mid Shift - 8hr QVH

Job Summary

Works under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services/Assistant Director or Supervising Clinical Laboratory Scientists. Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and micro collections on infants. Participates in data entry, specimen processing, and communicates with clients to help resolve specimen concerns as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Minimum Experience Requirement: Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology; two-year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred; one to two years experience assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred; ability to operate computer input terminal; proficient typing and word‑processing skills.
• Minimum License Requirement: Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate and BLS certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including fluent English.

$23.00 – $23.00 per hour.
