Speech Language Pathologist

Encompass Health is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide expert therapy to patients with speech, language, swallowing, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders. Your work will help individuals overcome disabilities from illness or injuries and assist them in regaining independence. This position requires a compassionate professional prepared to work closely with patients of various ages and needs, implementing tailored treatment plans and collaborating with a diverse medical team.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and conditions.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide consultation and education to family members and caregivers to facilitate patient communication and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to provide holistics care.
• Stay updated with the latest treatments and technologies in speech therapy.
• Strong understanding of speech-language pathology clinical practices
• Excellent patient and family communication skills
• Ability to create and follow through with individualized treatment plans
• Proficient in the use of speech therapy technology and tools

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
