OverviewPurpose Statement/
Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager provides leadership in both clinical and administrative functions. This role oversees the operational management of APPs, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, and alignment with institutional goals. The Manager APP drives quality initiatives, policy development, and program implementation to enhance care delivery. The APP Manager will manage multiple APPs across the specialty areas, plastic surgery, peds surgery, urology, etc.
Minimum Qualifications /Work Experience_Required_ :
- - Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles with the ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient acuity, collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams, and communicating critically and comprehensively both verbally and in writing.
- - 5 years APP experience
- - Strong surgical background with demonstrated experience in surgical services, perioperative care, or a surgical specialty practice.
- - Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance standards applicable to advanced practice providers and surgical services.
_Preferred_ :
- - Pediatric clinical experience with demonstrated leadership in managing APP operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
- - Formal leadership experience (minimum 1-2 years of direct management experience leading Advanced Practice Providers (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner), including direct supervisory responsibility for hiring, performance management, coaching, professional development and/or completion of an APP administrative fellowship).
- - Experience leading APPs within a multi-site surgical practice or academic medical center.
