Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech) Position Highlights: $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED! Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Hours:
4 x 10-hour overnight shifts;
Monday-Friday approximately 7:30PM to 6:00AM Every other weekend required

Responsibilities- Gather & review patient information - histories, medications, procedure request and study protocol
- Explain procedures and orient patient to sleep lab
- Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments if necessary
- Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting
- Follow procedural protocols (such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc. to ensure collection of appropriate data)
- Follow "lights out" procedures to establish and document baseline values
- Perform polysomnographic data acquisition
- Document routine observations
- Implement appropriate interventions
- Follow "lights on" procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process
- Assist with scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events
- Generate accurate reports
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations & guidelines
- Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluations
- All other duties as assigned
- Successful completion of an accredited polysomnographic program leading to an associate’s degree with emphasis on polysomnography
- Successful completion of an accredited polysomnographic program with emphasis on polysomnography or completion of ASTEP Program
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required OR Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) upon hire with RPSGT obtained within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification required
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a Polysomnographic Technician preferred. New grads feel free to apply!
- The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $ with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
- Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
