Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care within an outpatient clinic setting, supporting patients with orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions. Working under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, the PTA independently manages patient treatments, contributes to a multidisciplinary team, and participates in rotational team assignments to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation. Part-time position available.

• Assist patients during therapy sessions to ensure effective exercise implementation
• Supervise therapeutic exercises tailored to patient needs
• Conduct patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatments accordingly
• Document patient treatment details accurately and timely
• Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas for sessions
• Maintain clear communication with patients, physical therapists, and team members
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during treatments
• Educate patients on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or related field
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) certification
• Proven skills in patient care and therapeutic exercise delivery
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitation principles
• Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities
• Experience measuring and monitoring vital signs
• Effective team collaboration and time management skills
• Familiarity with safety protocols in clinical settings
• Bilingual in Armenian preferred
