• Prepare patients for visits by completing the Advanced Standard room process including entering chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing history and allergies, completing medication reconciliation, working the Encounter Guide, and documenting in Epic for preventative visits as needed.
• Assist with in-office testing such as drawing blood, mental status exams, EKG, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
• Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
• Schedule follow-up appointments per office policy.
• Collaborate with providers and care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.

• Medical Assistant:
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED.
  Certification:
  Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  
  Preferred Experience:
  
  6 months of clinical healthcare experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant:

  High School Diploma or GED.
  Certification:
  Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
