Full-Time – Activity / Recreational Therapist
Center for Behavioral Health Maryland Heights
Our 20-bed inpatient hospital specializing in geriatric psychiatric care is looking for a dedicated Activity/Recreational Therapist to join our team. Located next to NHC Health Care Maryland Heights, our facility serves patients with cognitive and mental health needs.
Role overview:
Lead group and individual therapeutic activities
Observe and document patient behavior and condition
Complete assessments and documentation per policy
Support a safe, structured environment for patients
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise Science, or related field
Valid driver’s license
1+ year of recreation therapy experience in a psychiatric setting
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist –
preferred but not required
Help shape a patient-focused care model
Improve lives through behavioral health—one patient at a time
