Veterans Caregiver (Flexible Hours)

Griswold Home Care for South Saint Louis is a veteran friendly employer, is seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to provide essential support to our veteran clients in the City of St. Louis, North County, South County.

As a Veteran Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed for our freedom by assisting veterans with their daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, transportation, medication reminders and companionship. Full-time or part-time Veteran Caregiver.

Compensation

$17.00 - $18.00

Griswold Home Care is a military friendly employer and is looking to hire caregivers with military experience who have strong communication skills to grow our care team to support our large veteran client population. Life As A Caregiver

This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist veterans on both day and night shifts. Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care.

As a Veteran Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping veterans live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You competently provide non‑medical care and home companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and grocery shopping. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront of your mind, you help veterans maintain proper personal hygiene.

You are gentle and professional as you aid with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to veterans who have dementia or cognitive impairments. Your kind and patient demeanor serves you well as you ensure they receive the highest quality of care.
