Americare Senior Living seeks a Life Enrichment Coordinator to design and lead engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for senior residents. In this role, you will plan and facilitate daily activities, social events, and therapeutic recreation tailored to varying cognitive and physical abilities. You will collaborate closely with nursing, caregiving, and dietary teams to support person-centered care, document participation, and track outcomes.

Success in this role requires creativity, strong organization, clear communication with families, and a compassionate, patient approach that reflects our resident-centered culture.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and lead daily life enrichment and recreational activities for residents
  • Adapt programs to residents' cognitive, physical, and emotional needs and care plans
  • Collaborate with nursing, caregiving, and dietary teams to support person-centered care
  • Organize special events, outings, and holiday programs for residents and families
  • Maintain attendance records, activity calendars, and documentation of outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with residents and families about program offerings and participation
  • Assist with orientation and training of staff and volunteers supporting activities
  • Ensure activity spaces, supplies, and equipment are safe, clean, and well-organized
  • Monitor resident engagement and report changes in behavior or condition to clinical staff
  • Support a compassionate, respectful, and dignified environment for all residents
