Requirements:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or geriatric setting preferred.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist to improve residents' abilities in activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, cognition, and psychosocial functioning.
• Assist with resident evaluations and contribute to the documentation of functional status and progress toward goals.
• Deliver direct therapy services in a compassionate, safe, and effective manner.
• Monitor and document residents' responses to interventions, promptly reporting changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate relevant resident updates.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safety techniques to support independence.
