- Develop and execute translational disease strategy in Alzheimer’s and neurological disease areas
- Lead and oversee disease strategy execution, including patient selection strategies
- Generate novel hypotheses for targetable biologies by integrating novel discoveries, literature, and neuroscience expertise
- Manage cross-functional disease project teams interfacing with IT, bioinformatics, data science, statistics, external collaborators, contractors, disease strategy leads, and asset leads
- Maintain relationships with translational clinicians to identify opportunities and gain disease insight
- Identify needs, gaps, and translational disease questions across the neuroscience portfolio
- Lead collaborations with academia and industry partners to identify biobanks, clinical trials, and databases and collate genomic, immune, and clinical datasets
- Guide bioinformatics partners on biological questions using transcriptome, exome, genome, epigenetic, proteomic, immune-profile, and single-cell data
- Manage internal stakeholder and external collaborator relationships to develop translational analysis plans, timelines, and communicate results
- Represent Neurology Translational Medicine at internal meetings and provide domain expertise to cross-functional teams
- Direct and support publications in scientific, technical, or medical journals
- PhD degree in a neuroscience-related field
- Minimum of 8 years post-PhD experience
- Demonstrated scientific leadership in integrating, analyzing, and interpreting multimodal biological data in an academic and/or industry setting
- Strong background in neuroscience with focus on Alzheimer’s disease, human genetics/genomics, molecular and cellular biology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing and competing priorities and ambiguity
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong track record of high-quality scientific publications in relevant fields
- Prior experience with clinical trials preferred but not essential
- Knowledge in immunology is a plus
Demonstrates expertise in developing and executing translational disease strategies in Alzheimer's and neurological diseases, with a strong focus on integrating and analyzing multimodal biological data. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain relationships with stakeholders to drive scientific research and publications.
