Radiologic Technologist
The Radiologic Technologist (R) works under the supervision of the Director Associate Director Manager Lead Technologist and/or Clinic Manager. The technologist is responsible for performing a variety of procedures requiring independent judgement and knowledgeable performance. The technologist will operate equipment safely producing quality images for diagnostic purposes and maintain equipment and supplies. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and fellow staff.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret a provider's instructions.
- Explain procedures to patients verifies accuracy of patient information in the file.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Select imaging parameters.
- View images from an imaging session and keep records of the results.
- Review and complete patient exam and charges within the radiology information system.
- Performs necessary clerical duties as needed to support procedures and department/clinic operations.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
Completion of Radiologic Technology program.
- Required
Work Experience:
2 Years
- Radiology experience
- Preferred
Licenses and
Certifications:
Registered Technologist (R.T.) - Required Upon Hire Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days
Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel between carious system facilities and off-site locations as needed
