Position Summary

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately, but the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community.

While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.

We’re looking for Certified Pharmacy Technicians to support operations at our new Central Fill Pharmacy in Republic, MO.

• The starting pay is $24.00/hr.
• $2.00/hr differential for the 2nd shift.

The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 - $37.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

4‑day workweek consisting of four 10‑hour shifts. Sunday availability is required and candidates without Sunday availability will not be considered.

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (availability required between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (availability required between 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)

Schedules are assigned based on business and production needs and may vary.

• Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Holds an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).

• Maintains and tracks medication inventory by sorting, placing, and storing freight in appropriate locations, restocking and replenishing medication, reporting low stock levels, ensuring stock rotation on a first-in, first-out basis to assist in shrinkage control, performing inventory cycle counts, assisting with physical counts for inventories, creating reports using inventory information systems and monitoring prescription inventory for expired pharmaceuticals.
• Supports facility with reporting and paperwork to ensure productivity and pharmaceutical integrity by entering and modifying pharmaceutical data on system and forms, processing and submitting paperwork, creating and maintaining documentation for files, manuals, forms, records, supplies and communications such as memos, correspondence, identifying and resolving discrepancies in records or files, preparing reports of pharmacy activities and inventory, performing state board‑mandated testing of counting devices and informing management about incorrect or inefficient processes and improper service procedures.
• Promotes and maintains the pharmacy professional reputation and delivers pharmacy products and services to patients in accordance with local state and federal laws and corporate policies and procedures by assisting the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process, stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, handling claims and returns, completing and securing paperwork forms and other required documentation and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist in an automated central fill pharmacy to maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to meet daily production and quality goals by using the scanner to identify and select pharmaceutical product and quantity for prescription orders, verifying the size and strength of the…
