Position Summary

As a COTA, you will:

  • Support delivery of high‑quality OT services
  • Help residents regain independence and improve quality of life
  • Provide therapeutic interventions under OT supervision
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist
  • Provide direct patient care per state and facility guidelines
  • Monitor and document resident progress; report changes to the OT
  • Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
  • Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and other healthcare staff
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in care planning and discharge planning
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and all regulations
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program
  • Current NBCOT certification
  • Valid state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • SNF or long‑term care experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Committed to patient‑centered care and rehab excellence
