New Day Recovery is looking for an experienced, compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team in Senath, Missouri.
We already have a team supporting the day-to-day needs of our clients. For this position, we're looking for an addiction professional who can bring a higher level of counseling expertise to our program — someone who can connect with clients, facilitate meaningful groups, provide individualized counseling, and help clients make measurable progress toward lasting recovery.

What You'll DoProvide individual and group substance use disorder counseling
Facilitate engaging, recovery-focused therapeutic groups
Complete assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning
Monitor and document client progress
Develop relapse-prevention and continuing-recovery plans
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Help clients identify barriers, triggers and healthier coping strategies
Provide appropriate intervention and support during difficult situations
Collaborate with treatment technicians, leadership and other members of the treatment team
Help strengthen the overall quality and consistency of New Day Recovery's treatment programming
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
Follow applicable facility, state and regulatory requirements
Candidates should possess an applicable Missouri addiction-treatment credential or meet applicable Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) requirements.
Credentials may include:
CADC – Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor
CRADC
CRAADC
Other applicable QAP-qualifying professional credentials
Experience in substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment, behavioral health or recovery services is strongly preferred.
We're especially interested in someone who is comfortable taking ownership of groups and counseling sessions, communicates well with clients and coworkers, and understands that successful recovery work requires both compassion and accountability.
