Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $24.00 per hour
, with placement in the range determined by the candidate's previous patient service, medical office, scheduling, registration, and healthcare-related experience.

ACCESS Family Care is seeking a friendly, dependable, and patient-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team at the Lamar Medical Clinic. The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming and positive experience while supporting efficient clinic operations.

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Check patients in and out for appointments.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect copays and patient payments.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Assist with scanning, filing, and other administrative tasks.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and fellow team members.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, patient registration, scheduling, or front desk role is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus.
