Role DescriptionThe Athletic Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Mountain Grove, MO location. This role focuses on providing direct care related to injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation for patients and athletes, working closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating injuries, implementing treatment and rehabilitation programs, guiding strength and conditioning activities, and monitoring progress to ensure safe return to activity.
The Athletic Trainer will also educate patients, families, and community partners on prevention strategies, maintain accurate documentation, and support clinic programs and outreach initiatives as needed.
- Candidates should possess strong Athletic Training skills, including injury evaluation, treatment planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention education, with the ability to develop and communicate safe practice and risk-reduction strategies.
- Candidates should possess Rehabilitation skills, including designing and progressing individualized recovery programs for musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.
- Candidates should possess Strength & Conditioning skills to support performance enhancement, safe return-to-play, and long-term functional goals.
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) and eligibility for Missouri state licensure or registration as required.
- CPR/AED certification and knowledge of emergency response procedures in athletic and clinical settings.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patients, families, and team members.
- Experience in outpatient, sports medicine, or clinical rehabilitation settings is preferred; new graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
