DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Speech‑Language Pathologist for a Long Term Care position requiring CCC‑SLP certification and MO state licensure.
Details- Long Term Care/skilled nursing facility setting within the Speech Language Pathology unit
- 13-week assignment on a Monday‑Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts
- Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM, as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
- No weekend work required unless a holiday falls within the workweek, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
- No on‑call responsibilities
- Caseload typically includes 10‑14 patients per day depending on evaluations scheduled
- Group therapy sessions permitted to support productivity
- Dedicated documentation device provided for each therapist
- Active MO state RN license or compact license required
- CCC‑SLP certification required (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology)
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
- New graduates accepted if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation experience alone does not qualify)
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- One professional reference required for consideration
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services or make referrals as needed
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Document all treatment minutes and clinical information in the electronic documentation system
- Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
- Attend facility and company required trainings and in‑services
- Ability to obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed for patient care
- Opportunity to supervise and support CFY or student Speech‑Language Pathologists
- Adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics required
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
