Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant performs treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.

• Adhere to state laws and only perform procedures within training and qualifications, reporting treatment responses and patient condition changes.
• Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members and communicate patient progress.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of practice.
• Provide care regardless of patient demographics or environment.

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotation.
• Preferred: CPR certification and physical ability to assist with mobility tasks.
