Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your expertise as a Registered Dietitian will make a meaningful impact on patient care. This part-time role focuses on providing comprehensive nutritional care and education to hospital patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met through personalized plans and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

As a Registered Dietitian, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized nutrition plans, including order writing and parenteral/enteral nutrition support. You will provide inpatient nutrition counseling, educate staff, and mentor interns. Additionally, you will assist in developing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

• Assess and create nutrition care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Communicate assessments and interventions effectively with physicians and care teams.
• Deliver nutritional education to inpatients to support their recovery.
• Collaborate with food services and nursing staff to address feeding issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
• Support administrative tasks related to nutrition care, including policy development and competency validation.

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition is required.

One year of clinical dietetics experience is preferred.

Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as an RD in the state of Missouri, or registration eligible with the requirement to pass the registration exam within three months of hire.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, use a computer, stand and walk for extended periods, teach and communicate nutrition concepts, and perform measurements and calculations.

May encounter challenging conditions including exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, heat, noise, wet floors, chemicals, and sharp objects in food production areas. The environment includes patient rooms, nursing stations, and kitchen areas.
