- The Behavioral Health Supervising Clinician at MARK TWAIN HEALTH CARE DISTRICT is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality mental health services, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and providing leadership and support to a team of mental health professionals. The role demands a commitment to improving patient care and outcomes through effective supervision, strategic planning, and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and support a team of clinicians, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery.
- Conduct regular clinical reviews and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Provide direct clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with behavioral health issues.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Lead staff meetings and case conferences to facilitate communication and teamwork among the clinical staff.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health practices and integrate evidence-based approaches into clinical services.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field from an accredited institution
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and meets the BBS requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience related to the field
- Experience in supervising clinical staff or managing clinical operations
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
- Proficient in clinical documentation and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of relevant legal and ethical standards in clinical practice
