- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, organizational policies, and insurance requirements.
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals to ensure continuity of services.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical, and professional guidelines in all client interactions and documentation.
- Participate in case consultations, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development as required.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures related to client care, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
- Maintain organization-wide productivity standards as directed by the Director of Therapy and/or Psychiatric Services.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients' strengths, needs, and challenges.
- Administer standardized assessment tools and utilize clinical judgment to evaluate mental health status and risk factors.
- Collaborate with clients to establish therapeutic goals and objectives based on assessment findings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address clients' mental health concerns and facilitate positive behavioral changes.
- Provide counseling and psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance coping skills and resilience.
- Coordinate with external agencies, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the healthcare system and social service networks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
- Respond promptly to crises and emergencies, including suicidal ideation and homicidal ideation, domestic violence, and substance abuse issues.
- Provide crisis intervention services, including risk assessment, safety planning, and referral to appropriate crisis intervention resources.
- Collaborate with emergency services and law enforcement agencies as needed to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Comply with all legal documentation and agency policies associated with crisis intervention.
Collaboration:
- Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide integrated care for clients.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including maintaining client confidentiality and upholding professional boundaries.
Education:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted California license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC or CA registration as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC.
