Description - Long Term Care (LTC) unit within a Physical Therapy department
13-week assignment on day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 hours per week
No weekend or on-call requirements
Compact license accepted
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- New graduates considered if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation alone not accepted)
- MO state PT license required, if applicable
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develop and adjust plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care as needed
- Assess patient progress, document outcomes, and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members on patient progress and treatment plans
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate treatment documentation
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required trainings
- Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be accommodated
